The 40th annual meeting of the American Physical Society (APS) Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (DAMOP) was held from May 18th until the 23rd.

Bart McGuyer recently attended the joint European Frequency and Time Forum (EFTF) and IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium (IFCS) in Besançon, Fr, to present work on a "New Method for Light-Shift Elimination" in conventional vapor-cell atomic clocks.

Ben Olsen recently attended the 50th Experimental NMR Conference at Asilomar (in Pacific Grove, CA) to present recent work on optical pumping at high magnetic fields.

At this year's annual meeting of the American Physical Society Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (to be held at the University of Virginia) will be a special session on Hyperpolarized materials. It's being organized by Tom Gentile of NIST.
