Overview
We're a small research group investigating the fundamental interactions between atoms, moelcules and light. More specifically, we're interested in the mechanisms that limit the performance of optical pumping systems, such as atomic clocks, magnetometers, and laser guide-star adaptive optics systems. Our projects are all tabletop experiments involving lasers and warm vapor cells.
Prospective students
If you're interested in joining our research group (as a summer student or a graduate student), feel free to send one of us an email (
here), or drop by the lab on the second floor of Jadwin Hall.
Here are a few of the features of this site:
Navigation menu
In addition to the header links, you can get to the page you're looking for by navigating the menu at right, which will automatically display subpages (if they exist) when you hover over a page's link.
Search
Right below the navigation menu is a search bar. Type in what you're looking for, and a list of all the pages containing the search term will appear so you can quickly navigate to the right page.
Keywords
Just browsing? Want to see the topics we're interested in quickly? Each page gets tagged with keywords, and a list of all the keywords shows up right below the search bar. The bigger the link text is, the more pages have the tag.
Bibliography
You can search and sort papers by keyword, author, journal or date, and even export bibliography information for Endnote, bibTeX, or other software. Also, each paper gets its own page, so you can find them on the sitewide search as well.
